Still so many people in this kind of situation, Uzzi, and it's good that you continue to remind others that people need help. A friend of mine is collecting unwanted warm coats etc for people before the bad weather comes. She did it lst year too.

Christmas 1973 was a Christmas I remember well and had I known you I could have put a roof over your head as I lived in a large rented house and often took in young people who were in a muddle.

Let's hope there is lots of help for all those in need this winter.

It's very touching, Uzzi. Well done for continuing to remind others that some are not so fortunate.

I did sort out a dustbin bag of good, warm, men's clothing last week. It made me feel better too, knowing that somebody would benefit in the cold. I didn't ferret to get the change out of the lining where it had slipped, I thought somebody might be glad to find it for a hot drink!

Uzzi, I think you have done a great job 'keeping faith' with that young girl, if she could have looked into the future that Christmas I bet she would have been proud that 41 years later she hasn't been forgotten about :-)

It's an important thing to remember that for many it is going to be a cold and lonely Christmas ( and winter) unless someone gives a hand up ( and it could happen to any of us). Good on you <3

It was nearly Christmas 1973.
The girl in the story was just 17 she was also recently married and living away from home. She was brave but not that brave but She left home in 1973 to allow her parents to split up and have a happier life. She told them both that she was well. She sadly had married the wrong person but her 1973 Xmas didn´t include him, nor his fists, As she approached her first Christmas without her parent and without a home or roof over her head She wondered what to do.
There was no amazement no wonder etc She tucked herself into a corner in the Samaritans home and went out begging for blankets and warm clothes.
She didn´t stay there but what she did was keep a very deep honour to ask for blankets clothes and all else that the homeless need.

Please give what you can and remember the pets
