I know someone who used to live in London, in Friar's Crutch! That was the address on his stationery; I've looked at maps and can't find it.

Still reckon he made it up.

David Sedaris, a wonderful American speaker/orator, now lives in England (Sussex to be precise) with his partner Hugh..
When they were house hunting he said this:

The BBC weather lady Kaddey Lee-Preston used a Kent map with 'rude' names on late one night about 10 years ago. She got reprimanded :-0 :-D
