Dermot, that would confuse anyone lol. When i go to Tecwyn's neck of the woods, the train divides at a certain stop and without fail there is always someone who is in the wrong part of the train and has to make a hasty change, because the "rear two coaches" going into Shrewsbury become the "front two coaches" going out lol.

I didn't even know Osnabruck was in Germany.

First Great Western train departure announcements confuse the foreign traveller.

‘The first train to depart Paddington is a First Great Western train to the West country. Those requiring refreshments will find the food bar in the first carriage of the First Train.

Those travelling to Cornwall should change at Swindon from the First Train on the third platform to the First Train on the first platform‘.

Tec :-) not just at the moment, though I was down there about a month ago to visit my friend, she is battling on as is her 23 year old collie!

Florence and Susan, that is spot on of course. :-)

Why Osnabruck i can't imagine though. if you had asked me to name some towns or cities in Germany I would never have come up with that. Like most places I know of in Germany though I have probably heard of it in a programme or from a book, about WW2 so it must have been hidden somewhere waiting for a dream or an episode of 'Pointless' to be dragging to the fore. :-D

Rose, I am always having strange dreams and one of the things I learnt about trains was this. Trains are a means of escape. A wanting to get away from a place or situation to explore new pastures. Are you bored or frustrated with something in your life that you want to move away from or are you wanting to try something new perhaps? Escaping is also a way of letting go of the past so you can move ahead and get on.

Does this make any sense to you? I have no idea about your life etc so really this is my interpretation of the the train dream which I have fairly frquently!

Sweet dreams tonight

:-)

well I didn't 'know' there was an army base there ( I don't think I knew lol) :-)

Nor that according to wiki "The "Hauptbahnhof" (Main Station) of Osnabrück is an important railway station. Travellers from the Netherlands heading for either Hamburg and Denmark, or Berlin and Eastern Europe, often have to change here".

Getting on trains IS a recurring feature in my dreams...always the 'wrong train' or multiple trains going to strange places. Hmmmm

I think one of the 'wrong trains' in my life was getting involved with a soldier lol so perhaps my subconscious was telling me something I already know? or maybe just that I like trains and like to travel and should do it no matter where I end up
:-D

I think that if you were in therapy, the answer is the one that you come up with?

So the answer lies within your own psyche, your past, your worries etc.? :-)

Can anyone suggest why i spent the night trying to get a train to Osnabruck ( a place I've never been and have no reason to think of) without tickets, passport etc ( apparently they were in another almost identical suitcase...green) and ended up on a train to Mongolia.....
