Is that why the Germans have sausage dogs?

Remember the Larry the Lamb episode where he thought DDDDennis the DDDDachshund had gone in the ssssusage mmmachine! ;-) ;-)

I like the occasional hot-dog.

Ex and I had a drake (Manny) - rescued from a neighbour. He got lonely and depressed so we got him a mate.(Peggy)
She used to disappear into the woods for a couple of weeks, and reappear with up to 14 ducklings.
This happened on a regular basis.
Our garden was big, but only so big.
We ended up with a 'core' of 5 ducks (all named) to 1 drake, and ate the eggs, but also killed and ate the offspring (un-named) from those who insisted on disappearing to lay their eggs, and came back with ducklings. They were, after all, offspring of Peggy and some played the same trick as her!!

Why don't they go for Rabbits?
They are far the most prolific breeders compared to Cats and Dogs.
Yummy yummy. :-)

Same can be said for China and other countries that breed cats and dogs to eat,,,,,,,its un-conceivable to us,,,,,then the cow is scacred and beef eating is horrendous to some.

people raise poultry/pigs/cows/sheep and have it on a plate at christmas.

I supose its the old arguement,,,,,,,,I'll eat it as long as I havn't seen it living and I'm OK to let someone else do the killing.

Its a terrible and stomach turing thing to read for us pet lovers.

Hope they win their cause.
