I think that those living down there will be glad of the mobile and Wi-Fi access this will give them.

Many people who live in rural areas still have to use 'dial-up' if they are lucky!is

The government did pledge that ALL households should have good internet access as a basic right. This is going some way towards that pledge. Lets hope he buys another home somewhere else in the country where access is cr*p !!!!!

I live in Plumstead Sth London (almost next to the highest point in Sth London) both OH and I are on Orange/EE. We can sit in the same room, he will get great service on his ten quid do nothing phone, while me on my all singing, bells ringing smart phone, gets b*gg*r all !!!!!!!

;-) :-D <3

I wonder if David Cameron would give permission for one of these mobile phone masts to be erected in the back garden of his house in the hamlet of Dean near Chipping Norton ;-)

I agree, Linda - he's waited long enough!!!!

Now, what's he going to do about Somerset's lack of mobile phone coverage?

Oh - that'll be nothing, until he wants to contact someone who lives there :-P :-P

I think the only reason they are putting them along the North Cornish Coast is because David Cameron goes on holiday there I don't think he gives a hoot about the people who live all year round

If we stand at the top of our driveway, we can see a tower on the hill.

Being near the tower doesn't help the mobile 'phone service at all. We keep saying we're in a black hole. :-(

No mobile 'phones work inside our house, same with our neighbours.

Before they build a new mast at the top of our road
I could only send a text sitting in the middle of the sofa
but now I can send one anywhere in my house :-D :-D :-D

they installed a "monopole" mast on the side of a dual carriageway near me, in spite of many protests ,that had one control box.

in the past year, another three boxes have sprouted.......it DOES look rather like a thick lamp post, but with a sleeve cowling thingy at the top.......

I see that our dear PM is going to put extra mobile phone masts up around the coast of Cornwall because when he is down there on holiday he finds it hard to use his phone because of the reception. I come from that part of the world and still know lots of people that live down there and they manage ok. Perhaps Mr C should not take so many holidays, then I for one would be very happy
