You're right Lyndi :-D I did a LOT of groundwork!

I tried abusive language too, and that didn't work either.

:-D

Ah but LadyScozz, OH only managed to do that because you had done all the ground work :-D

Last week granddaughters plastic dish was wedged fast in a small saucepan! I tried the boiling water, vegetable oil, WD40, trying to get a knife between the two to no avail, so I threw them in the washing up bowl and made a coffee.

Sometime later I went back ready to throw both things in the bin, tipped saucepan upside down and while verbally abusing it, tapped firmly on bottom on said pan - and the dish slid out :-0

So, it's all down to the groundwork!! ;-) :-)

I can think of a few things he's useful for :-D :-D :-D

He didn't give me "the look", just laughed, and crowed a bit

Don't you just hate them!

It is that look that goes with the act that is REALLY annoying and the sort of little flounce when they walk away.

great!!

a bit of brute force and iggers, methinks! :-D

iggers being ignorance, in case you haven't heard that before :-)

They are separated, neither got broken :-D

DH came home from golf...... showed him the jug......... he laughed.... How the hell did you manage that? I didn't, they got friendly in the sink.........

He prodded at the little dish for a few seconds, and HEY PRESTO...... it popped out!

:-D

SylviaInCanada Report 29 Nov 2014 07:08

wait a bit .......... some of the day time lot may have a better idea

LadyScozz

LadyScozz Report 29 Nov 2014 06:02

It's really stuck... nothing goes down the side.

Maybe I should look in the garage for WD40 :-D

I tried pouring boiling water over the upside-down jug....... didn't work :-(

I think I'll have to break the small dish if I want to keep the pyrex jug.

:-(

????????????

try and dribble some oil down the sides between the glass bowl and the jug. See if you can get it evenly all the way round, and then see if the bowl will slip out

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 29 Nov 2014 05:12

the glass probably :-(

LadyScozz

LadyScozz Report 29 Nov 2014 03:58

I tried that :-(

I put the jug in hot water, and put ice cubes in the dish.

:-(

I didn't deliberately put the dish into the jug...... it must have gone swimming in the sink.

There are loads of pyrex jugs in the shops, but I haven't seen any small glass dishes like the ones I have.

Which one will break? :-0

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 29 Nov 2014 03:48

stand the pyrex jug in the sink, and fill the sink with hot water to just below the top of the jug ...................... don't get any hot water into the small dish.

Leave for a few minutes

My theory is that the hot water will heat the jug and it might expand a little bit, enough for you to be able to slip the glass bowl out.

:-(

I've been cooking.......

and trying not to make too much of a mess......

I filled the sink with water and put things in the sink as I finished with them.... including a pyrex jug and a small glass dish.

The small dish is now stuck inside the pyrex jug! Wedged tight!!

I've tried and tried, but can't budge it.

Any ideas?
