Saxon hoard

Just wanted to share.
Popped into B'ham Museum the other day to see the Saxon hoard exhibition. It's small (not surprisingly as this is just a selection, and apparently the total of 4000 fragments would fit in a carrier bag!), but WOW. Stunning.
I know it sounds soft, but I shed tear or two, it was so moving. And this is a woman who cries about once every 5 years.
Well worth a visit.

Glad you were able to see it. So often significant exhibitions tend to be London based. :-)
