Snow on the hills yesterday and a heavy frost when I went to bed.

Today, a howling gale and torrential rain all day!! :-( :-( :-(

Yes - 21 November in the village of Shadforth in Durham.

No-one would have noticed had my granddaughter not gone outside to see a close relative off.

However, although there were snowflakes coming down, they landed as rain when they hit the ground.

Not had any since.

Severe frost but no snow in my corner of Kent - don't want any snow :-D

I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. I am also researching the Clusker family from Co. Meath in Ireland who moved to West Lothian and from there to Fife............"Vita non est vivere sed valere vita est"

Lovely and sunny here in Kent but there has been a hard frost overnight as cars are white including windscreens

Just on 0' here in Bedfordshire with a sharp frost. It looks lovely (from indoors that is) ;-). It is sunny though with blue sky so we should not complain too much.

Allan you are making my OH jealous he hates the cold. :-D

No frost here in Peniscola Spain, BUT when there is Frost it is very difficult to go anywhere as the Spamish do not expect it! I few years ago the snow, ice etc arrived unexpected and the local people could not believe how much there was whilst the Brits who live here were out in the garden making Father Christmas for there grandchildren or so the said!

However I hope it is not staying this time.

Have you had snow or ice yet?

This morning it was quite chilly, but there was no sign of any lingering overnight frost
As I drove out the street, water drops and moisture started to build up on the windscreen.
I stupidly turned the wipers on, and yes.... the moisture spread and it froze solid!
I had to pull over and get the scraper out.

About an hour later, we had our first snow of the winter
It was really heavy for about half an hour but, the ground was too wet and it melted :-( :-( :-(
