No, he doesn't iron.

He makes up flat pack furniture and it doesn't end up looking likr it should have wheels and a crooked chimney on it like when I try.

Sharron, send him to our house. I have a list of thing waiting to be done. My husband keeps saying he will do them when he gets time but I find I have to keep reminding him every six months.

We call him the foreman.

He is one of Nature's domestics, which I am not, and he asked if it was alright to do some housework when I asked him to wait in for a parcel for me once.

Of course I had to think very hard about it but I thought I might just let him do a bit of skivvying for me. Just as a favour like.

We have a friend, the one who drives the three wheeler and thinks there are Polish living in the electricity sub-station, who can turn his hand to anything but can't shut up.

He does come out with some drivel. mostly speculation on something he has picked up and blown up in his mind.

One instance was the time I took him to Stow-on -the -Wold because I was going to buy something.

To my amazement, on the way along the A34, on the back of lorries, we saw an enormous plastic dog, about ten feet high, a submarine and a railway engine. An extraordinary journey you must agree.

The next day I heard him tell somebody we had seen a helicopter!

I went out to work with OH yesterday and asked this friend, I will call him M, if he would mind popping in to feed the cat.

Last evening I rang him to thank him and see what twaddle he had to relate. I had told him there was fruit cake and pasties and some soup in the kitchen if he would like to take some and asked him why he had not.

It seems he had only just popped in to feed the cat quickly BUT while he was doing his quick pop he had re-hung my front room door which had been off for some years so that Fred could get to the bottom of the stairs for the washing.
