When somebody tells you to go to Hell, you might say "thanks; I've always fancied a holiday in Norway". Or (if you like cold weather) "when Hell freeezes over".

There is a philosopher and I can't remember which one, who has hypothesised that we are actually living in Hell now.

I´ve been to Hell and back in Cayman it was weird but rather beautiful also.

When I was stationed in Germany in the 60s, on exercise somewhere in the south, I made a detour to a place called Hellenbach, just so that I could say with some honesty that I had been to "hell and back" Bob
