A poem for peasants

Just to stress I was born a peasant and am still the same 82 years later - although I did have ambitions in between.(high pretension to hyper tension).(from my small easy read poetry books)

ONE IS FORCED TO SLUM IT.

Due to the fire at Harrod's,
Our 'champers' stock had hit the floor;
My chauffeur suggested LIDL's,
A shop which caters for the poor.

My roller wouldn't fit the parking bays,
Whomever plans these irksome stores?
Our presence brought upright fingers -
So impressed with my plus fours.

Never seen such scruffy children,
Just one or two who looked quite smart;
Their mothers were probably shoplifters,
And in evening hours - a tart.

Most though were probably on the dole,
Which explains their holey knees;
Tabloid readers probably,
And likely carriers of disease.

What exactly are 'home brand' beans,
Will they harmonise with grouse?
Still, such food is probably eatable,
Warmed up in a terraced house.

One charioteer blocked the aisle,
My order plainly didn't work;
I knew his word which began with 'F',
But what exactly is a 'berk'?

"Do you want help with your packing love"
Her familiarity bred contempt;
A veneration gap between us,
And plainly born of low descent.

Some people may think I'm a snob,
But that simply isn't true;
Ask anyone who really matters -
I'm not that far ahead of you.

Thank you for reading - I'm off shopping on my bike, guess where?

I have a brace of peasants hanging as we speak.

Peasants often eat Pheasants
Each night they perch in the same tree
I for one find them unpleasant
Though easily grabbed for free
