It's also helping my new strategy - throw out what you're not using!

Having said that, if I'd thrown out the typewriter when I should have (about 15 years ago), I'd have had to have paid out money!

Forgot to mention - also got 3 new ribbons for it - 3 for the price of 2 :-D

She'll be thrilled I'm sure Maggie, as will your nephew :-)

My 12 year old grand daughter would like a typewriter for Christmas.
I dug the old 'portable' Remington travel-riter, bought in a jumble sale years ago for my children, and spent quite a few hours cleaning it.
Then bought a ream of paper and some Tippex.

Today, rummaging through 'stuff' in an attempt to find some old Fortean Times to foist off on to my nephew, (I've found all of them from 2004 until 2008 - that's 48!) I found a box of carbon paper and a 1970's typewriter tutorial - a bonus :-D

...now I've just got to get her some children's bonds (can be bought in £25 lots for children), as I've spent virtually nothing on her!!
