Now that our front lawn has gone (the back one went years ago) I have got rid of the lawn mower

Next on the list to go is the vacuum cleaner because it is only collecting dust :-D :-D :-D :-D

Shirley, my daughter has one of those robot vacuum cleaners; great until it gets stuck somewhere, then it emits a mournful tone until someone frees it

But surely the corners dont get cleaned with a robot vacuum

My daughter's seem to be cleaned, but the thing is constantly running. It keeps her cats amused :-)

I will have to get one and it can follow the grandchildren around all day, then I dont need to vacuum when they have gone home :-D

I was going to vacuum today - then realised I have the boys tomorrow, (grandsons aged 4 and 6) and thought - Nah.
Will brush the tobacco from the sofa, though.
No, I don't smoke in front of the grandchildren, I put on a coat and stand on the back doorstep :-(
When their 12 year old sister was about 3, I'd go to the back doorstep for a swift smoke - and she would follow me. We had our best conversations there. :-D
