Remember it as if it was yesterday

He had cancer that had spread quickly in just 3 months and he went very downhill in this last week He was in a morphine induced state that wasnt nice as he hallucinated seeing things /bugs etc flying around and it easier to agree with him rather than upset him saying you couldnt see what he was seeing.

He rallied around late on the 18th Dec and was very lucid , he said I am going to die but I wont do it today as its my lads birthday(our brother Peter) and I wont do that to my boy . He hung on till the early hours of Friday the 19th Dec 1975.

Bless you Dad , hope you are happy and with mum and the other family members who have also passed

Been thinking about him all day

Aww Shirley. bless you. I hope you can think of your Dad with a smile now. It is hard especially at this time of year. My father in law was buried on Christmas Eve in 1976.

Take care
Sylvia

Thanks Sylvia . Because of the Christmas break the earliest date the funeral directors / crematorium could do was the 28th Dec but our elder sister who was doing the arrangements said NOOOOO thats his birthday and no way is he being cremated on his birthday

His funeral was the 31st Dec 1975 <3 <3
