GlasgowLass <3 as I posted on Mersey's thread - another tragic accident in Glasgow - a bin lorry has mounted the pavement, ploughed into pedestrians, and ended up crashing into a hotel in George Square which is one of the City's busiest areas and there are reports of at least six fatalities :-(

Like you, I have family and many friends in Glasgow and I hope that no one we know was in that vicinity at the time the accident occurred, if they were I pray they are safe and well.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who may have been injured and to the family and friends of those who have been killed <3

A tragic, tragic accident at any time of the year but more so in Christmas week.

So many people involved directly and indirectly.

I have passed over the same streets many times when I worked in Glasgow.

What a dreadful thing to happen, especially at this time of year. My elderly cousin went to stay with her daughter and family who live there, last week. I am hoping and praying no one from the family hs been affected. I have texted her but had no reply.

My thoughts are with all those injured and all the families whose lives will never be the same.

Also thinking of our friends from here who live and work in the area.

Three of the six victims of the Glasgow bin lorry crash were members of the same family, BBC Scotland understands.

Jack Sweeney, his wife Lorraine, and granddaughter Erin McQuade, were named on social media as among the dead.

The family must be devastated - May the R.I.P. <3
