:-(

Last night, there was a gecko running around in the kitchen.

I hate the things inside the house, because they poop everywhere!

I squirted it (with a home-made mixture), then it ran around, ended up on top of the window frame (near the ceiling) and snuffed it. All limp, with its tail hanging over the edge.

I couldn't reach it, so left it there. DH was asleep, I didn't want to wake him.

This morning, I asked DH to remove it........ and it had GONE!

Where did it go? Did his gecko mates take him away? Is he Lazarus Gecko?

I've moved everything on the kitchen bench, and he didn't go behind anything.

Arrrrrrrrgh.

:-(

Some lizards are known for feigning death (toxic immobility). Probably the case with your gecko.

I've searched the house, can't find him.

There goes our starter.

:-|

Unless............ if he tried to hide in the oven, we'll have crispy gecko.

Geckos are a protected species in Australia. What else do you have planned? Roast platypus?

Geckos are very good pets and terrific at catching flies which I would have thought a big help in Australia. No doubt the gecko's party trick of running up walls and across ceilings catches the flies by surprise.

Geckos can be noisy. Although I love them they can keep you awake at night if they are on your bedroom ceiling.

I love geckos with their little suction feet. Here they say a house that has a gecko in is a happy house. We once had a gecko that spent its days living behind the kitchen clock which is near the door. Nearly every day the patio doors from our kitchen are wide open and the gecko nipped in and out at will.
