Have watched this a few times - the actual celebrities are few and far between, but dear me, how thick some of them are -even on their specialist subjects!!!

We thought the same, and that was from only catching the end of a couple of them.

Even taking nerves into consideration yesterdays cohort seemed the brightest of the bunch

i watched it tonight for the first time in years, and i was surprised at how much a certain lady did not know...

I agree, i caught it once or twice and answered many questions that they couldn't but was really surprised when it cam to their specialist subjects.

I remember watching a similar (I presume) show here many years ago when someone couldn't answer "What was Michealangelo's first name?"
Duh!

on a slightly different tack, I recall a contestant being asked to name a dangerous race - and he said "Arabs" :-D :-D

and the guy in a political debate who announced "We are being used as political prawns" :-D

I get depressed watching these programmes because I realise the depth of my own stupidity on many topics.

Ann Cleeves, answering questions on the Shetlands, is like me answering questions about the estate where I live!
I answered all questions on her 'specialist' subject correctly - eg 'What's the name of the bird with a brightly coloured bill' - well, that could be a toucan or a puffin...and toucan's don't live there....
I also got more general knowledge questions right than she did.

The "celebrities" only do it for the money.
