Kay, I bet your Niece got some bargains :-)

Von, You could spend days in the National Gallery, and still not see it all couldn't you?

Fireworks were great weren't they Florence, and it looks like the tickets to go were a good idea, not such a crush :-)

Thanks you all for your birthday good wishes, I had a wonderful day, and got some wonderful gifts, I was very spoilt :-D

Well i just watched the fireworks live on the news channel and have to say, London outdid Sydney again this year. It went on for nearly 15 minutes, such an amazing display. I thoroughly enjoyed that more than the usual rubbish on our local channels.

Happy Birthday Lynda, hope you have a lovely day.

Lynda
We saw the Grayson Perry as well after visiting the Maggie Hambling at theNational gallery.

We had a coffee and cake at the National gallery before going to the Grayson Perry.
Decided to head home after that before the underground got too busy.

Happy birthday for tomorrow :-D :-D :-D

100's were queuing for tickets yesterday OFITG, the fireworks are fantastic, they bring in so many tourists from around the world, maybe they brought in a payment to control the amount of people who go, when we go, we have to get a spot by 8 p.m, to get a decent view, and it' bloomin' freezing waiting for 4 hours, but well worth it :-D

Thank you Guinevere :-D

Hiya Von :-D we may of passed each other in Trafalgar Square, as we were there yesterday, we visited the National portrait gallery, to see The Grayson Perry exhibition, and the Portrait Artist of the Year exhibits, both spectacular.
Don't know how you fared on getting something to eat, but we trawled every restaurant, in the vicinity, going as far as Covent Garden, and couldn't get in anywhere, ended up with a yoghurt and a bag of crisps in the National gallery restaurant :-0 There's certainly money in food at the moment :-D Happy 2015 you and yours, hope it brings all you want :-D

Hi Joy, thank you, can't believe I will be 32 tomorrow, how time flies :-D Wishing you and your family a wonderful, healthy happy New Year :-D

The Mayor's token of goodwill to those who live in London :-S the people who pay their council tax into the Mayor's coffers - a fireworks display paid for by the people who live and pay there council tax in London :-| no doubt next year the admission cost will be doubled :-(

Don't forget you have to have a ticket this year (cost £10.00) to see the fireworks, well worth it, BUT, lots of roads are being closed, so if you aren't going to see the fireworks, make sure you check your route out, and maybe have an alternative route planned in case your usual route is closed.

I have been around some London sights today, and London is heaving, it'll be busier tomorrow, so make sure, if you are celebrating in London, give yourself plenty of time to get where you are going.

Other than that, enjoy every minute, and Happy New Year :-D
