Good idea, Jem - a communal blanket to keep us all warm :-D :-D ;-) ;-)


What I'm doing, is casting on 3 stitches, knit 1 row, then increasing at each end of every alternate row until I get 43 stitches, then decreasing at each end of every alternate row until 3 remain, then knit 3 together and cast off.
Hey presto, a square! :-D :-D ;-)

Why do you need to increase or decrease to make the square? Never done squares before!

Jem - this one is very simple, just garter stitch -, and increasing and decreasing to form a square. I'm using different colours, using 2 strands of different ones in each square, so all or most will be different :-D :-D

A lot of bookshops have closed down, sadly. I used to love Borders in Norwich for just that reason. Now, all there seems to be left is Waterstones and W H Smiths, though there are some others in Cambridge, such as Heffers, and some lovely ones in London.
I love to look on Amazon for reviews and ideas of what to get next :-D :-D
