D-day great escaper war veteran Barnard Jordan Dies


Barnard was the war veteran who disappeared last June from his care home in hove and he was discovered in France he said he was not going to miss out on D-day. Not even his wife missed him. He died peacefully in hospital.

Perhaps the last self reliant generation that got on with it themselves without griping all the time.
I can imagine today's mollycoddled shower complaining that no one laid on a chauffeur driven limo and five star accommodation. Together of course with some compensation for the inconvenience of having to fight a war and now having to the attend the ceremony in Northern France. Having it in the south or maybe Spain would be much nicer!
