I looked at my bank statement today and found that £79.00 had been paid to Amazon Prime. I ordered a DVD box set from Amazon in December for a present for my grand daughter and thought that as a result of this my account had been hacked. |

It must be for less than three months as I did it on December 3rd and was charged on January 4th so II think it is for a month. But the cost and terms are hidden away somewhere and aren't odvious. |

Amazon free trial is for a month, it's best to cancel auto renewal as soon as you have signed up (you still get a month free). If you buy a lot of Christmas gifts the postage saving is amazing. |

I accidentally ticked the prime box when I was doing one purchase and couldn't back track on it . I went into my Amazon account and deleted the continuous box . |

If you don't care for Sky Murdoch and all their expensive works very much then Amazon Prime is good value. Especially it has Ripper Street which I like though it is not everybody's cup of cocoa. |

I had this a year ago when I must have clicked on the prime and forgot about it.... Rang them up and they credited my account back straight away... I ordered a phone and wanted it the next day otherwise I wouldn't have bothered |

You could share Prime between three family members and so cut the cost by a third. |

I have recently been ordering more things from Ebay because they are the same price or lower and i don't have to pay postage if they cost under £10 on most things. |

I don't usually post messages on this board but often read the discussions. Today I would like to say how grateful I am to Tenerife Sun for alerting me to the Amazon Prime charge and for giving the phone number to contact. I had no idea that I had been charged after the free trial was up and have now managed to get a full refund. Many thanks! |

I'm glad my info was of help to you Adeline and DazedConfused. I thought my bank account had been hacked and that was an awful feeling. Finding out I had inadvertently joined Amazon Prime was a massive relief and getting my money back was the icing on the cake. |
