OH and Fred's mate like to watch the spitting on tv together and sometimes they have even been to a match. Fred's mate has been such a huge help to us over the past few years so we thought we would like to give him a good Christmas present.

He doesn't know what it is but he does know he is going somewhere.

Fred's mate has led a life that makes mine seem adventurous in that he rarely left the village until he moved in to town and rarely went anywhere further until we took him.

He has never flown and supports a team that I think might be called Newcastle Nil! We have promised that one day we will fly him to Newcastle to do the stadium tour.

Well, tomorrow is not the day we are doing that!

Tomorrow is the day he and OH do the tour of Wembley Stadium where they will see the FA cup and a piece of wood and partake of a complementary soft drink having seen where the players put their knickers on or something.

He doesn't know where he is going and I am glad it is him and not me but I think he will enjoy it. OH certainly better had!
