I've always been on standard membership and have never purchased credits so had no need to look at my credit history until now. |

You can ignore the credits in your account that say they expired on 01/01/01. That, I believe, is a fault in the display software, which should omit those lines.. |

Thanks all, I have been a standard member since 2008 and have bought and saved records (on computer) but I can never recall having been "in credit" following renewal |

drummo, on this site you need to save records to your computer when you view them, otherwise you have to pay again next time. |

Records purchased with credits have a shelf life, Once the credits lapse, any records purchased are also inaccessible. This also applies if you had previously had a Platinum Subscription which you have not renewed. Ancestry, one of GR's main rivals has the same policy. |

I have hundreds of expired credits I do know that I bought some but not hundreds Yet in my "saved records" I have a mix of 10 census, birth or death records but if I press to view I am asked to purchase more credits so where are the records that I have bought, should they not be somewhere to view free if i have already bought them |

Up until a couple of months ago I had always been a platinum member; so I have never bought or been awarded any credits. But there are hundreds of thousands of credits showing up on my credit history, going back several years. :-S |

Go into your account and then click on credit details and it will tell you how many credits you have purchased |

Am I reading the 6 month renewal of standard membership correctly It appears to state that on renewal you are awarded 50 credits to view records. If that is correct i did not think I have had these credits on previous renewals although ?I have visited my account and viewed credit history and have been surprised at how many credits I have supposed to have purchased and all appear to have lapsed. Is there anywhere i can view what i have bought or been awarded and when and on what I spent these credits on |
