Go to www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com Click on Forms and Charts, and scroll down until you find "free family history chart" which will show relationships. Bob

I'd have said 3rd cousin 5 times removed.

EDIT - Apologies, it is 4 times removed. I counted Benjamin and 5 times great grandfather as two people and they are one and the same!!

As Benjamin and Richard were brothers their father would be the common ancestor and Julies 6xG grandfather.

3rd cousin 4 times removed - i think.

R and B's children are 1st cousins.
R and B's grandchildren are 2nd cousins.
R and B's great grandchildren are 3rd cousins.
Then you count the generations down the one, longer, line until you reach yourself.

can anyone tell me what relationship this person would be to me. 2 brothers, richard and benjamin. benjamin is my G.G.G.G.G. Grandad. What relationship is Richard's G.Grandson pls? 8th cousin? kind regards, Julie x
