Hello Beverley,

Yes I'm a total 'numpty' aren't I!? Susan Hayward married William Wright in 1785. Their son {also William Wright} was born c1787 and married Keziah Higgleton in 1814. Keziah then had seven children with her husband William c1816- c1833. They were in order of births William;John;Susan;Fanny;Ann;Ebenezer; and Samuel. I am now wondering if James is perhaps an eighth son of Keziah.
Also according to my records Susan Hayward died in 1792 so probably didn't have too many children.
I apologise for original misinformation and hope this has clarified things a bit now.

Kind regards

Denis

Hello Denis
I think you have everyone a bit confused.
In your opening post you say "Susan Hayward who was married to William Wright in 1814."
Now you say they had a son in 1787.
When did they marry?

Thanks to Ann and Shirley for the posts. I am a bit confused about the christening of William Wright on 28/9/1817. As far as I know William and Susan had a son also called William b c1787 {died 1874} who married a Kesiah Higgleton in 1814. They in turn had seven children one of whom was another William b c1816. Could it have been the grandson of William and Susan that was christened on 28/9/1817 at Layer-de-la-Hay?
On another point I have no record of James Wright {christened 3/7/1814}. Is this another one of the seven siblings of Kesiah and William or a brother of William b c1817? This would make Susan around 46 at his birth. Kesiah and husband William didn't die until 1872 and 1874 respectively.

Denis Wright
