DIZZI Report 13 Jan 2015 21:52

SOME TIMES A COMMENT IS TAKEN THE WRONG WAY
AN BOTH SIDES AVOID POSTING,DAFT I KNOW
I BEEN THERE DONE IT,THEN REALISED HOW STUPID I
BEEN,IT WAS ME THAT LOST OUT ,,,

I DIDNT HAVE ANYONE TO TALK TOO,,

'Emma' Report 13 Jan 2015 21:47

I would like to add..

I also look into a few debate threads and enjoy
reading people's opinions on the subjects, however
what puts me off adding to them is the fact that it all
breaks down and you end up with a lot of hostility
between some posters.

On the other hand when I have added I'm ignored, so I
don't bother the same these days...must make the newbys
think twice.

Just my opinion

The board has become a little "Mundane" I think is the word your looking for Uzzi :-)

Open up a Virtual pub,

and announce all drinks are free, as long as you've got plenty of gossip to give out.
or a few controversial subjects you would like to expand upon.
We already have one thread on the go about "Assisted Suicide".

(But go steady on the Baileys, that's reserved for Budgie) ,he,he.

There are a few people I would be prepared to assist in their suicide, Ian Huntley for starters.

Rambling

Rambling Report 13 Jan 2015 21:30

Several reasons, one being that a lot of posters now only go on certain long threads, and so their 'daily quota' of posts are all in one place.

A lot of people are no longer here, or barely post.

and because I have run out of things to say lol, I've been here so long I find myself thinking " I said that 5 years ago" :-0

I like 'topic' threads best, and there are fewer of them posted really.

PollyinBrum Report 13 Jan 2015 21:19

I have noticed that some people start a thread and get lots of views and a large number of comments, whilst others get lots of views and only a few comments. Maybe people don't want to be bothered joining just have a "chatty" thread.

I know I have read several threads lately and not commented, not through lack of interest, but I can't always stick around to see how the thread develops.

Uzzi

I hope you understand that I wasn't having a dig at you.

The GR community spirit is seriously lacking.

Sniff, sob..........hiccup.

I think the board is in terminal decline.

'Emma' Report 13 Jan 2015 21:06

I agree Uzzi it comes and goes in phases.

I also think that more of us are staying on a thread with people
they feel comfortable with.

I think it's because if people put a thread up and very few people answer but there has been quite a few people looking it puts people off posting again...

UzziAndHerDogs

UzziAndHerDogs Report 13 Jan 2015 21:01

Ann I have noticed that it goes in phases

Prickles I agree it´s sad and I will say that I missed the post and my only excuse is the fact that I have my MIL with me. As it is the only time she has spent longer than a night with us, I needed to make an effort.

PricklyHolly

PricklyHolly Report 13 Jan 2015 20:52

Dizzi posted a thread on 4th Jan.

Just asking members to say "Hi" or "Hello"

82 views............but only 4 members bothered to reply.

How very sad is that!

AnninGlos Report 13 Jan 2015 20:40

It does appear that it goes in phases, last week it seemed to be moving quite quickly, now it has slowed down again. Maybe people are getting back into routine at work etc.

but we have lost some lovely members of late :-( :-(

UzziAndHerDogs

UzziAndHerDogs Report 13 Jan 2015 20:29

stopped moving like they did,

Because of the RR
or because we have run out of things to say
or because we have things to say but we know the answers will seek out the RR
or is it because those who kept these boards alive have moved on ?
