I have an old fashioned thermometer in my conservatory. Been there since it was built about nine years ago and only moved when I dust.

Well it has disappeared of the face of the earth and of course nobody has touched, moved or broken it (so they claim).

Must be that 'Mr Nobody' that I thought had moved out when the boys had grown up :-D

I have a sensor that sits in the shade outside, and a "reader" inside the house so that I can check the temperature in the shade whenever I want .........

The inside sensor / reader also records the temperature inside this room

......... and it also records the high and the low for the period since you last took a reading and corrected it to the up-to-the-minute reading

so I can tell you that the lowest low outside while we were away for 3 weeks over Christmas was -2.4C and the highest high outside was 12.4C :-D

Ooh - posh, Scozz.
Mine's just a plastic thingy that sticks to the window with 4 bits of double sided tape.

We have a thermometer that does both...... the thermometer is inside, and there's a wire with a small thingumy on the end, attached to the thermometer, that you can stick in the window frame, which gives the temp outside (two readings on the thermometer). Ummmmm, what I mean is..... the thingumy on the end of the wire goes outside.

I'm having a senior morning........ need another coffee.

My kitchen is the coldest room too.
I now have a thermometer in the kitchen and outside on the window.

Could be a case of 'spot the difference' :-|
