as we are on talk talk, and getting bills on line,

was amazed to see 7 attempts to contact a mate of mine. each time, it went to his voicemail..........

no longer than 23 seconds a time................28 pence a go !!!

Bob be carefull of Talktalk .question the charges .we have had many a charge with them & it shouldnt have been on the bill ..send email i do & ask them to get in touch with you Good luck Barbra

Barbra they were genuine calls,
pressed redial, hoping he was finally at home.........

just didn't appreciate the rate for voicemail time......

Bob, if you tel someone and hangup before the voicemail comes on then theres no charge. But if it goes to voicemail, then you have actually got throught to that number and so will be charged, even though you didn't actually speak to someone.

I think a lot of people don't realise that. When I tel my daughter's mobile, if she doesnt answer within 4 rings, I hang up so I dont get charged.The charge though is rather expensive!

no the redial button does just that,

its when you use the 1471? -3 button that costs.......

email from him says his phone doesn't always ring, indoors, that's why...

The best option with TalkTalk phone is "Anytime" which avoids this kind of charge. My aged parent moved from Sky to TT over a year ago and after some initial problems with the broadband she is quite happy and has saved a lot of ca$h.

Myself I use Virgin. They have a handy free app which allows you to route calls over wifi even if your mobile is not with Virgin.
