Is crème fraiche really fat-free? optimist!

Creme fraiche has 30-45% butterfat! That's more than whipping cream.

I've got the reduced fat crème fraiche and will only using about a tablespoonful for one banana - so negligible really :-D

absolutely scrummy!!! such a lot from one banana and a dessertspoonful of crème fraiche - reckon it would be a good way to use raspberries or any soft fruit!!!

I saw James Martin in JL in Oxford Street a couple of years ago, giving a demonstration in the Household Dept.

Loads of women sitting listening to him, and not one taking in what he was saying. Just drooling.

:-D :-D :-D

Sounds lovely, particularly the idea of freezing it to be a homemade ice cream. But if any of you are a bit perturbed by the fat content of crème fraiche! the taste of fat free plain yoghurt is nearly the same, and we use it all the time instead of cream, it does set off the sweetness of bananas and berries beautifully, I have it every day for breakfast with sliced bananas - unfrozen! Mind I intended to have a look at the description of the lower fat crème fraiche next time I'm in the sujpeermarket
