OK thanks Graham but it would seem that Hathway house is closer if it is a 10 minute walk. Although a taxi may be best that early in the morning. Re Backwell, for Uzzi, can you confirm there is somewhere in Backwell that her oh could get an evening meal?

Right I've gone. trawl back Uzzi, there are several around hathway House. Hathway House is £50 a night.

I can't think of anywhere in Backwell itself. It's only a small village.

The Forge is also £50 per night with wi-fi

Sorry Ann I had gone to watch Wolf Hall and then to bed.

Upps sorry for the typo on the Acorns I did e-mail them and they said re-the evening meal that they would give him a lift to and from the local pub as well as transfers to the airport. the cost is 59 for the room. Which doesn´t seem too bad but I am not sure he would like to be reliant on somebody taking and fetching him for his meal, would have preferred walking.

I am off to check out Hathway House and the rest.

Several choices there Hathway House is looking good and yes easy walking distance to the airport tavern which is also the closest pub to the Acorns being about 1 mile away and OH could walk that :-D Mind he could also walk to the airport from both.

Hathway 53 for a single room airport shuttle extra easy walk for dinner free wifi

Acorns 59 for a double room including transfers and a lift to the pub with a good stroll back. nearer by a smidge to the airport entrance. free wifi

I will have to wait until he drags himself out of bed and he can make the choice. <3

Uzzi. apparently there is a bus from Temple Mead station Bristol to the airport. Depends what time of day but T thinks day time it runs every 10 minutes and later once an hour.

If he is going to be walking to and from the pub in the dark, check out what sort of road he will be walking on from Acorns . A mile down a country lane with no pavements would be dangerous if it was like that.

we will probably stay in either Hathway or one of those around there. We won't need airport transfer though as we'll have the car which we'' park at the airport.

I think T is going to stay at one of the ones close by but actually have an early meal in Bristol (before going on to the B&B) as he has never been there and will get there about 2pm. Good to know the bus time table thanks. Not had much sense out of him today as it´s his Mum´s last day with us so we have been out for lunch.

Thanks for that graham, good bus service and worth knowing although we will have the car on this occasion.

I would like to say a thank you to all those who commented. I have today booked the Acorns after giving OH his own choice.
Graham that time table is a fantastic help and factored in the decision of what to do.

We have provisionally booked Hathway House as T doesn't like driving around the lanes there in the dark.

Oh and his thinking is the closer we are to the airport the later we can get up Lol!!!! Only 5 minutes by car.
