I too despise such cruel acts as dogfighting and would be heartbroken to lose a pet thinking it might be in danger.

There are morons everywhere.

There are warnings out.... despicable people are picking up dogs, even going into gardens and stealing dogs.

Why?

For dog fights.

How horrible is that? What sort of sick person enjoys watching dogs tear each other to bits?

Our neighbours have three lovely dogs (American Staffies) that think our house is their 2nd home...... I think I'd go berserk if I saw anyone try to steal them.

Makes me feel ill, just thinking about it.

my cat that got killed recently was called Thor he was born on a thursday and died on a thursday, and as i believe in re-incarnation,Floyd came to me on a thursday,i reckon Thor sent him to me. hes been sitting on my cat ledge(my chest) while i sat and watched tv. all the cats i have had over the years have sat on me ledge ,its a wonder the boobs havent dropped to my knees. :-D. hes sleeping in his bed at the moment. i have a great affinity with cats,i love all animals but cats are favourite.i now have 10. Floyd is black with a couple of white hairs in an ear. 4 black cats 3 black and white,2 tabby and white and 1 all tabby.everyone should have a cat, they keep you stress free, well most of the time.good job i dont drink or smoke cigs the vet bills are frequent.
well night all of to kip.no lie-ins for a few weeks till little one gets off 4 meals a day.

Oh Wendy I am sorry your poor dog couldn't be saved but you did the kindest thing and you still have him close and lots of memories.

I hope Floyd? will grow stronger and stronger, he obviously has won everyone's heart already.

Once the dishwasher is fixed you can snuggle up with Floyd and relax together

picked up animals from vets this morning ,unfortunately my dog thad to be sent to rainbow bridge, everytime they touched him he fitted badly so lisa said the best was to put him to rest.have buried him in garden next to one of the cats that got killed a couple of months ago, they are by an oak tree that i planted in memory of friends husband,i try to plant a living memory, instead of flowers getting slung on a tip at the crematorium.
well when i went to the recovery rooms at vets as soon as kitten heard me he was purring and slinking against the door and putting his paw through bars.hes only known me 24hrs,i knitted him a onsie last night put it on him to come home ,he was inside my coat, when i got in put him on floor but he couldnt stand up onsie was too heavy he kept falling over so took it off it was light wool but he only weighs a pound,he has spent the day in one of the boys rooms curled up in bed with him.Joy, this cats going nowhere :-DSparkly i have to sort my dishwasher out it is flooding kitchen, then maybe it will be relax.thanks for kind words girls.xx

Well at least the morons gave the kitten half a chance.
One of my tenants is in the habit of putting the latest litter of his cat down the loo if he cannot find buyers.
The cost of unblocking the plumbing is serious.
Get the mother cat spayed? Oh no as a member of the tribe of Lee such things are not allowed.

Oh bless you Wendy, those morons who dumped the kitten knew a good place to stop, at least. I am glad you are looking after it, they could have least put it in a box with a blanket or something, not just dumped it on the verge where it might have frozen to death.

Hope it will grow up strong and you will be glad you took it in, I assume you are planning to keep it. Is it a little Tom?

I am actually very envious as I would love more pets, but this house of o.h's is not suitable and he isn't a pet person, plus there are two grumpy dogs next door that get bored easily and bark at anything and everything because they are alone so much.

Enjoy him,

my neighbours friend had a kitten dumped on the grass verge out side her house today, she heard a car by the time she got to the door it had gone on the grass was this tiny kitten, she picked it up and took it in and wrapped it in a blanket and phoned my neighbour, all the animal places were stacked up .when neighbour told me i said ill have it,it arrived stone cold shivering, must only be 4 weeks old.poor little scrap.well i gave it warm milk cuddled it so it warmed up,put it on top of radiator ,he loved that.gave him a drink of kitten milk and cuddled it some more,it purred and purred and kept looking up at me nuzzled my face to says thanks wend, had a sleep and some more food,he settled down in one of the boys rooms as if he has lived here all his life.hes got sticky eyes and i discovered what i thought might be a bit of dandruff turned out to be lice absolutely smothered.i phoned vet will take him in morning. to get sorted out, meanwhile i diluted apple cider vineger and wiped him down all over, its good for parasites inside and out.just hope they havent lodged in my hair. :-S
