Thanks Uzzi and Barbra, it isn't so hard now, just wish he didn't have to go through such a painful time, suffering indignity that was hard for him as he was quite a private man. The date of his death was so close to the date of my daughter's birth and death 16 years previously, so I found a little comfort in the fact that his suffering was past and he would be with her hopefully. He loved children and showed his affection more with youngsters than he could with other older family members, and I know he would have adored my girl had she lived., as much as he adored my son. I hope too he found his firstborn son, who was stillborn before I came along, as well as his parents and other family gone ahead.

Our family chain has linked up more and more in that other place.

aww Liz sending you hugs.

Time may lessen the tears shed
When you have lost a Dad,
It can not dull the memories
or stop you feeling sad

Time does not take away the hurt
That arrives on a certain day
or the wishful thinking about him
or the wonder what he´d say.

The days that time is painful
Think of memories in your mind
And smile and say I love you
Dad you were top of your kind.

Remember that he loved you
Remember that he´s near
And whilst you have your memories
He will always wipe your tear.

xx

since my Dad died of lung cancer, can't believe it's been so long since he went. I hope he is watching over the family and knows how my son's life is going so well now with a fiancee and 'step'son, good job and lots of friends. He would be so proud of him.

Would love to be able to talk to him about all I have found out about his family tree and hope he knows how many new relatives I am in touch with, that I didn't know when he was alive.

Miss you Dad

Lizxx
