Hi all, has anyone had Trimethoprim antibiotics for water infections. How long should I wait for them to work and to start making me feel better please. :-(

Hi AnnMarie I have had Trimethoprim before, I am allergic to Penicillin so this is the one doc usually gives me....With them being not as strong as Penicillin it can take an extra day or so more for me.......

Hope you feel better soon, water infections can be nasty <3

My OH had recurring water infections due to Prostate problems. Now he has been on Trimethoprin for over 2 years and had not had any problems at all. No side effects either.

I hope you will soon feel much better :-)
