Apparently, in France, names have to be from an approved list. According to the paper today, a French Judge has just refused to allow two sets of parents to call their daughters "Nutella" The parents had hoped that the girls would grow up to be as sweet and popular as the spread. I am not making this up. Bob |

the males in my paternal line - Williams - alternated between David and John - not easy to follow Williams in Wales, but fortunately they came from the same area - the area where I now live and I have managed to get them back to the 1700's so I'm quite pleased about that - I walk in their footsteps most days :-) |

In one of OH's families, the names Cuthbert and Gilbert occurred in every generation from at least the early 1600s up to the 1900s |

My name is not there but both my brother and sisters first and middle names are. Not surprised to see John and William up there. At least one and usually both names appear in my paternal grandfathers line every generation going back over two hundred years. |

several of the boys names were repeated over the years down my father's side .......... beginning in 1740 with James, and ending with my father given the same in 1904 :-) |
