£600k isnt a great deal of cash for a 5 bed property in the country.

about £500+,,,,,you can get a modest 2 bed flat in London for that.,,,,,,,its not a lot for a 5 bed country house,

According to his contact details (and they are public as he is an MEP), his house is worth about £600,000. It is a semi but has 5 bedrooms so perhaps not EXACTLY 'modest' :-)
