No way he needs help .dial 111 & speak to someone 24Hr NHS help line .or 999 get an ambulance .think paramedics come out they will see your Dads Condition .Good luck Barbra

Barbra the hospital phoned and said because he does not live alone he will be alright until tomorrow :-S what sort of answer is that :-|

Fly...it could be lots of things...given his history. The important thing is that at the moment he is not well and needs help.

As Barb mentioned a Urinary Tract infection in the elderly can cause all the symptoms you have described...confusion sleepiness etc. However it may have something to do with his original diagnosis which needs to be ruled out...if you get what I am saying <3 <3

Hya Emma . <3 Fly have you a hot water bottle .you could put it behind your Dads back ..sounds like an infection .can you not ring nhs 24 help line they will give you advise .been there with people its a worry but could be cleared up .fingers crossed for you :-)

111 Operator: Sorry I did not realise who you were - a doctor will be with you within the next 30 minutes!

Helo Fly sorry to hear your Dad isnt to well .could be urine infection .can make older people confused ..can you get any lemon & Barley for him to drink .might need antibiotics .not an expert but sometimes this can happen & affects people .Take care Barbra ~~~~~~~~~~to All <3

Fly....they are bloody useless.

How does he seem now...have you taken his temp?

Had same thing with dad...phoned 999 for ambulance and he was hospitalised within the hour and treatment given.

OneFoot we have to go to them to the out of hours clinic :-| but we can't get him to the car never mind the clinic <3 we will see how he is over the next couple of hours and just phone 999 if we need to <3
