I swear, boilers are 'programmed' to break down in the coldest weather :-| :-|
Wrap yourself in a duvet with a good film.

One of the reasons I'm soo glad I have an open fire as well as central heating.

Oh dear, that's not what you need! Fingers crossed he can fix it on the day, or at least leave it working while he sources the parts.

Having at one time been without CH for 4 weeks, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. It just goes to show how reliant we are on the contraption. When we were growing up only one room in the house was heated which we accepted as the norm. How times change (for the better!)

The BBC weather website says that on Tuesday we are going to below 0 for most of the day.

so guess what is happening? - yep, the boiler man is coming to fix our noisy boiler. It's not even our local man - we've had to call the manufacturers in. Lets hope he can sort it quickly.......................
