Mersey - sadly nothing in my settings for subtitles. Rollo - thanks, I can get I player with subtitles on the PC, my tablet (google Nexus 7) doesn't seem to have the facility, not surprised but it was worth asking!

Not optimistic but would appreciate advice in case I'm missing something. I am very very deaf so find subtitles on television essential. I am enjoying my tablet for portable browsing, emails, chat, news, weather etc. I don't download programmes or films on it, can get it all on my PC - but would like to have subtitles on the tablet particularly for live news, some videos. Any ideas?
