Could someone very kindly have a look at the 1871 census for a William Pertler (Parker) and say what they read for Jessie aged 8. Is she a daughter or does it say something else i.e leave. if it is leave what does it mean. I can't find a birth for her. |

I read it that she is a daughter ( Daur) and scholar ( 'ditto' written Do) to the child above her), if you notice the enumerator has written 'ditto' and his 'd's are open so look rather like Ls. |
