Thanks Ron,

I'm using Office 2010 on both computers, but it won't let me do a copy and paste, nor can I do a print screen. Once I start receiving emails from my contacts I'll be OK.

I'll get my son to look at it as he is the one who set my new computer up

Cheers

Allan :-)

Allan. Tad puzzled re transferring contacts from old to new PC.

I used Outlook and accessible from any PC BUT if you mean "Outlook Express" then you could copy and paste. If old pc working you could try accessing your new addy from the old PC then then IMPORT addys from Outlook Express to your new addy then access new addy from new pc.

Hope info of use

Allan, have a look at exetel.

We pay a set price for landline, broadband & mobile phone, which includes $300 of mobile calls (would never make that many, as coverage here is pitiful, I think we're in a black hole). We pay for calls from the landline.

Our bill is due to be paid 3 March $126.77

Scozz, I ditched all connections with Telstra, except for my mobile phone, when I finished full-time work.

As my employer provided the home phone I had no choice but to go with Telstra. Now I even rent my landline and my fixed phone through my ISP.

The only reason that I kept my mobile with them was because I get fairly good coverage .Mind you my mobile, which is at least six years old is now prepaid, rather than on a contract

I got this message with the returned emails.....

SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
host extmail.bigpond.com [61.9.168.122]: 554 nskntcmgw01p BigPond Inbound Connection refused. IB113

Googled it, and found some interesting/disturbing forums.

I'm not the only one having problems.

Emails to South Australia (my cousin), sis-in-law in Victoria, they're both with BigBog and lots of others with BigBog are being returned...... but email to other ISPs is working OK (in Oz, UK, NZ, US & Germany).

Something stinks.

We're with exetel/exemail

No Scozz, I'm with IINET

Mind you, I'm still trying to find a way to transfer my email contacts (Outlook) to my new computer without having to do it manually :-|

Edit, I remember just before Christmas some of my friends were talking about a similar problem and it appeared that Bigpond was down for a few days, or at least the emails were

Is one of the "big" ISPs in Oz messing about?

I can send emails to everyone else in my address book with no problem, but every one I've tried to send over the last few days to bigpond addresses has been returned.

Anyone else in Oz having a problem?

:-(
