Right at the main road end? Or the cross roads end. I don't remember seeing anyone from that way. And there are lots of big dogs that get walked around there aren't there. I would say she is a bit unhinged. (Or maybe, as my Dad would whisper. She's a funny age!!) Try and stay in the right though in case you have to take it further. Neighbour disputes are bad enough when in this country, it must be a nightmare with people of different cultures. You do have a mixed 'bunch' there don't you? :-) :-)

Thanks everybody, I know I shouldn´t retaliate but me of the shortish fuse knows I will eventually as we ignored her to begin with and that didn´t work. Phyll I never thought to chuck the poo at her mind it was bagged so wouldn´t have had the desired effect ! I am also very conscious to keep the playing field in my favour incase I do decide to denounce her.

Ann if you turn right out of our gate she is the end house on the opposite side of the road. Yes she does mutter in English and fairly good English at that. Unfortunately she is 1 of the full time residents here.

It does make me grin mind that if she is on foot and has to pass us she scuttles passed with not a murmur :-D

Horrible old bat. She will end up with no friends at all if she carries on as she is. Hope she desists soon and leaves off the varied attacks both verbal and physical on you and the dogs.

No I wasn't correcting you Uzzi. Is she speaking to you in English? Which house is she in facing out from your door? The corner on the main road? I think she will be more frustrated if you completely ignore her. Is she there all year?

Trust me this is as funny as it is annoying.

Not long after we moved in to our new house (2/3 wks) hubby came in from walking the dogs) and said the woman in the end house had muttered at him and he was sure she had said something about dirty beggars but he wasn´t sure. I ignored it. Admittedly when ever I /we walked passed her in the street she stuck her nose in the air and looked the other way. Earning herself the nickname of "the Shooter"
Then after Mum died she muttered at us from behind her wall whilst we were talking to her neighbour P . P died the November after Mum but he said to us don´t worry about Else she is just annoyed that the house we bought she wanted it for Family/friend and we went in fast ie. 1st viewing and pulled it off the market giving nobody else a chance to view or negotiate. I have had this confirmed as my neighbour has said that there was a lot of talk about how fast I had got the house pulled off the market.
Remember I bought in April but didn´t move in until June. P&C (my neighbours) had met me before then.

Back to the saga The Shooter lives on the corner and some dog does pee on the corner of her wall. She is blaming my dogs for this. This I found out when after a quick hiss from her I actually stopped and asked (through her gate) what her problem was. ;-).
Now this "piiisss" stain is at least 2 ft high and is obviously made by a large dog ... a large MALE dog. I am not even sure if Mini stood on the back of Minx and could cock her leg and aim upwards if they could reach that height. I tried to explain this to her *shrugs" no chance it´s my dogs that are "piissing" up her wall they and I are dirty dirty things.

She never confronts us if she is on foot in the street ....(wonder why ??)
Anyway she muttered at me from behind her wall awhile ago and I stopped and turned on her. POLITELY explained that my dogs are bitches they do not cock their legs. To which she screeched that if it isn´t them then it must be me :-0 . There was so many neighbours out at the time I decided to walk away after calling her a disillusioned stupid idiot who needed counseling. No not that polite but still polite for me.

Over the last year several neighbours have spoken to me including our community president and our treasurer. There is 1 other set of Belgium that will not talk to us as they are her friends ..well the wife won´t but the husband does !. The other set of Belgiums always speak to me even after "The Shooter" had a word with them. !!! They speak to me she doesn´t speak to them now. ;-)

Then whilst MIL was here we ran into her ..or rather she tried to run into us. We were on the crossing and she was on her bike and instead of riding around she aimed at Minx who was doing her usual amble across. The Shooter hissed something about the "piissing" dog should get out of the way. I ...remembering I had MIL in tow..... after knowing her bike was too far away from my foot retaliated with keeping going and I will see you in court. :-0 :-0 :-0
Now that is not the 1st time I have threatened her with that as I have sent via her neighbour that I will take her to court for harassment.

Last week she muttered at OH but realised the dogs were sitting on the floor whilst OH was talking to somebody. so went back inside.
Today she went past me on her bike and once more shouted at me about me and my dogs being dirty. I was actually picking up some poo at the time and didn´t see her coming. If I had she wouldn´t have still been on her bike.

I am going to say to her the next time that just because we bought the house and her friend didn´t get a look in, she is taking things too far now and everybody else is aware of her vendetta. Trouble is she doesn´t hang about to have a sensible conversation with
