It's the phone that needs drying out not the battery

So did this phone go through the whole washing cycle? even my so called water resistant one would'nt last that long in water

I have a Sony Z but wouldn't risk dropping it in water.... But thought it was possibly better than the two samsungs that went down the toilet.... First one dried out after 6 months ummm that was 10 years ago.... 2nd one smart phone never recovered, but it was rubbish anyway :-D

Your mobile will need a new battery, you need to take out the screws and get to the circuit board and spray wd40 over it, and with a soft toothbrush clean everywhere. :-)

Take out the battery and the sim and put the phone, wrapped in kitchen towel, in a bag of dry rice for 24/36 hours.
