I looked on the web, and found the following ...............

---------
Both records have been lodged and approved by The Guinness Book of World Records.

To qualify, law student Amy, 26 and groom Alex, 32, who won the £110,000 wedding in a competition, had to know all of their helpers and couldn't just have random guests.

Amy called in favours from girlfriends all over the world and TV presenter Alex's groomsmen included rugby players Danny Kirmond and Jamie Jones-Buchanan.

Every element of their dream day was donated by local companies - including 130 identical bridesmaid dresses worth £35,000 and suits worth £13,000.

Loved-up Amy and Alex, from Leeds, West Yorks, have four children between them from previous relationships and are expecting the first child of their own.

They met at a charity event in summer 2014 and quickly fell in love, planning to marry at the end of 2015.

They saw a competition on Facebook run by bridal shop owner Abbi Lewis, who was looking to pull off a record-breaking wedding and wanted a couple to take part.

Amy and Alex had planned a small wedding, but determined Abbi managed to blag everything for free and pulled together the massive event in just five months.

------

They apparently weren't even engaged when they entered the competiton!!!

it looks as though everything was paid for by the bridal shop owner!

I had a not-so-romantic thought......

All those flowers....... all that hairspray & perfume!

I'd be sneezing my head off.

The groom had the idea to break the Guiness World Record for the most Bridesmaids and Grooms.

Last record was 126 Bridesmaids held in either Japan or China.

Seemingly all the bridesmaids and grooms were guests so they may have bought their own dresses and suits

It looked lovely when they all lined up behind the bride and groom.

Very colourful with Pink dresses and Grey suits.

Just heard on our local news that we have had a big wedding that was not far from m,,Rudding Park

The bride had 130 Bridesmaids and the groom had 100 Ushers.

I just hope they all bought their own long dresses.... :-D
