We are heading for a general election in a few weeks.

Of course emails will be sent out if they have your email address.

It's sort of important.

Should I feel left out because I haven't had any :-D

maggiewinchester Report 24 Feb 2015 15:51

You could always e-mail them back and ask what they intend to do about unsolicited phone calls and e-mails :-D

Ann, Gwynne,
Have you tried contacting them and asking to be taken off their e-mail list? A little comment about how annoying, intrusive and not being much of a vote catcher may spur them on :-D

Guinevere Report 24 Feb 2015 11:50

We're getting lots from the Tories and quite a few from Labour. Oh the joys of living in a marginal constituency.

I realise that, Bob. :-D

I'd much rather have the paper stuff that comes through my letter box, straight in to the bin placed underneath.

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 24 Feb 2015 10:04

cos one day they'll send you promotional stuff in the hope you'll buy online?

maggiewinchester Report 24 Feb 2015 00:02

Have to admit to signing online petitions, but this doesn't lead to political parties contacting me.
I don't give my e-mail address if I buy anything in a shop. I just tell them I haven't got one, and show them my ancient Nokia mobile with a shrug :-D
Why would a shop, to whom I'm paying there and then NEED my e-mail address?

Perhaps you completed a questionaire and left your email address?

Although there may be no basis for suspicion, I never 'sign' an online you.gov petition. Big Brother is here!

I'm getting stacks of them - never had any before - also had a letter from George Osborne today - wierd - where I live is a strong Tory area
