I read everything by Enid Blyton, and was given the first Swallows and Amazons book for my 8th birthday. I read the whole series as they were published! |

I loved anything by Enid Blyton and the Chalet school books, swallows and Amazons etc. not sure when I stopped reading them though and moved on to Jalna and other books by Mazo de la Roche and then books by Nevil Shute, probably when I was twelve. |

I used to read the Cherry Ames books starting with Student Nurse and progressing to higher ranks. Also loved Famous Five, Secret Seven and many others. |

You're right Dizzi - we were a lot of innocents weren't we? I used to like the school books like the Mallory Towers series. The only thing was that I used to get really annoyed because the horrid prefect was always called Vera!! |
