Bacon with freshly buttered, crusty, poppy seed bread.

No sauce....but with a fried egg on special occasions!

My favourite way is a Brown sandwich thin, lettuce, tomato and lashings of brown sauce. Ooooo I feel peckish now ;-)

Americans are very fond of their food - that much I have learned from my relations over yonder. And they have some amazing concoctions too. The saying over there is that bacon makes everything taste better.

For example, bacon flavoured milkshakes are readily available as well as bacon flavoured syrup & vanilla ice-cream. Or, if you prefer, you can fill up with chocolate coated bacon slices.

The one American 'stunt food' that caught my attention is the 'Double Down' consisting of a bacon & cheese sandwich with two pieces of fried chicken instead of bread.

White bread, brown bread. toasted or not, brown sauce, red sauce no sauce at all.

My preference is 50/50 sliced bread with brown sauce. Hubby goes for white sliced bread with sweet chilli sauce.
