I have just accessed my Ancestry tree and selected the last person that I had viewed.
There are a number of documents attached to this person 1795-1858.
All scanned images, of an OPR birth an OPR marriage and a statutory death record.

I stared at the page, because instead of the documents I saw.... 3 separate very old photographs of old men that I've never seen before in my life!
A different pic was showing against the birth the marriage and death and they were all different men.

I hovered my mouse over the 1st one. It was a sepia coloured photo with a man in the oval centre. it said that I added this pic in 2010
As soon as I clicked on it, it immediately reverted to the birth/baptism and both of the other documents reverted too.
I uploaded all 3 in 2009

That was really, really creepy!

Nothing surprises me with ancestry.

It´s been doing odd things to me for a couple of weeks now.
There is a banner telling me there is a problem with my e mail address (I´m not alone & there is no problem) & every now & then it decides to tell me I would be better using .com & won´t let me inti co.uk.
Gremlins???

I have the message regarding my e-mail address constantly. I just ignore it.

I am plagued with the trembling little leaves and if I click on them it tells me I have no hints :-|

Last night... I quickly typed this thread and ran upstairs to bed.
I was toooo spooked by the images.

One of the photos was showing as a profile pic which is what I noticed immediately.
A photo of a man who died in 1858 aged 63 yrs?
The man in the photo was definitely from a later time period. than my male ancestor. He had a moustache , no beard and was wearing a dark suit jacket. It was a deep sepia colour oval, on a square pic. The outside of the oval was faded to white. The info said that it was uploaded by me in Jan 2010.

I never had the chance to look at the other 2 photos in detail because they all vanished as soon as I tried to open the profile pic.
I was so freaked out .


I also have the banner re the email issue but... I've been ignoring it!

A short while ago I was looking at the image for this

There was a snap shot of a couple. The photo could have been used as a book mark which someone had forgotten to remove.
Its gone now :-S

The only other image I'd looked at was the same person, previous year.

Yesterday I had a flower in place of a document scan!

I think aliens had been playing :-(

Now I know that I'm not going mad......

It's just happened again and this time I captured the image.

I was updating my tree with an 1871 census and instead of the census, I got a photo of a child
Looks like a photo from 1970/80s
