:-D :-D :-D

It was a shame, because we went to Fishguard to visit the pub where the peace treaty was signed, where all the memorabilia is, but it has been closed since last September, but I have photos of me in the pub doorway at least! :-D

Belle, that's a memorial stone for my 5x Great Aunt Jemima Nicholas. (Aka Jemima Fawr meaning Big Jemima or Jemima The Great)

She was the heroine of "The Last Invasion of Britain" Pembrokeshire in 1797:

The women all dressed up in their traditional costumes with red shawls paraded Fishguard Harbour, cos the men were away fighting, with brooms over the shoulders, pretending to be red coats. The French, didn't land because of this, but did manage to land a bit further down the coast.

Jemima, armed with a pitchfork (a bruiser of a woman that you wouldn't want to cross!) rounded up a rabble of French Soldiers and locked them up in a church!

Morning Mersey <3 how are you and how is your Nan :-)
Morning Fly <3 how are you feeling and how's your Dad doing :-)
Morning Jem <3 how's it going ;-)

We have another dry and bright start to the day in my corner of Kent and the forecast is that it will cloud over this afternoon with some patchy rain arriving later in the day :-)

So wherever you are and whatever you are planning on doing today, take care, smile and enjoy :-) :-) :-)

And would it not be marvellous if we could bottle our favourite moments, preserve them, so that at times when we are down and depressed, we could pour them in a glass and drink, reliving the wonderful moments and rekindling our spirit ;-)

Have A Lovely Day Everyone :-) :-) :-)
