You look in the mirror (when you can't avoid it) and you see your mother.

You groan when you get out of a chair.

In the time it takes to fall on to the Salon's floor, your fair hair has turned grey.

Plus side:
Just finished talking to my daughter (2 hour phone call)
I have her 3 children this weekend. 1 x 12 year old girl, 2 x boys aged 6 and 4. They are lovely, but like all children, go through 'phases', and, as daughter is a single parent, a bit of back up doesn't go amiss.
Me: 'What problems do we have?' (or, what are they doing that is really annoying?) Daughter tells me.
Granny power (and a few unsubtle hints) this weekend :-D
I'm amazed at the influence I can have with a few 'choice' words :-D :-D

I never had this when my children were young (mum lived abroad) so to make life easier for my daughter (and instill some 'life choices' - ie that's not acceptable in this family ) into my grandchildren is a pleasure :-D :-D

In our 'youff'. my siblings and I were known in our neighbourhood as the D****** 'mafioso', 'cos we didn't take any doo- daa and had high moral standards :-D
We defeated people by words, rather than brawn.

My daughter rarely suffered bullying at school, when any of the well known bullies started on her she just floored them with a long spiel using words they didn't understand. They usually left her alone. Also If I disagreed with her about anything she could usually talk me round with a long but intelligent explanation, and she was rarely wrong. So infuriating!! :-D :-D

You are old enough to live with your mother in her sheltered flat.
