Pedigree files are basically only the trees of other people anyway and not to be trusted 100%.

LadyScozz I don't know which link you are using but if you go to https://familysearch.org/ and then as Andysmum says, click on 'search', you will get to the right search page which will give you extracted records rather than other people's transcriptions and trees.

Mine is the same as always, apart from the new Home Page. If you click on Search and then on Records, you should get back to what it used to be.

I don't like the Pedigree Files, they're too fiddly.

Searched with your details on FS and got this:

Name: William Corner
Spouse's Name: Helen Cormack
Event Date: Oct 1727
Event Place: Wick,Caithness,Scotland

If it doesn't give the exact date, it's that it doesn't appear on the original maybe because the original is illegible or damaged.

My FS looks the same as it ever did and I haven't seen a Pedigree file on FS for years :-S

I used it early this week, same as usual, but today it's awful. I think I'm getting stuck with Pedigree Files.

The new system doesn't show marriage dates :-( and that's annoying.

Look for Helen Cormack b 1709 Caithness...... she is the daughter of John Cormack & Janet Corner, but Janet doesn't appear on the File. Helen married William Corner in 1727 in Wick (they're my 6xgreat-grandparents).

it hasn't changed for me - I use it daily

It's so weird!

The names in little blocks, and the details on that bit at the side.

Wish they'd go back to the way it was.

Not complaining too much, it's nice to find rellies born in the 1700s in Caithness & the Orkney Islands.

I've just been looking for rellies........

The system seems to have changed, to a very strange "family tree" one..... and I don't like it at all!

Anyone else found this?

:-(
